Mccall'S Best Chocolate Loaf

  1. In small bowl, pour boiling water over chocolate.
  2. Let cool. Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
  3. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Sift flour with salt and soda.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In large bowl of electric mixer at high speed, beat butter, vanilla, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  6. At low speed, beat in flour mixture; alternate with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  7. Beat in chocolate mixture just until combined.
