Muffuletta(Sandwich)

  1. Combine mixed vegetables and olives in a small bowl.
  2. Heat oil in small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  3. Add garlic and oregano; cook 2 minutes.
  4. Do not brown.
  5. Halve bread horizontally and pull out a little bread from each half.
  6. Brush inside of bottom half with oil mixture.
  7. Top with half of vegetables.
  8. Add ham and turkey; top with remaining vegetables.
  9. Cover with top half of bread.
  10. Wrap with Saran Wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  11. Cut in wedges to serve.
  12. Can be made a day ahead and tightly wrapped and refrigerated.
