German Fruit Cookies

  1. Grind fruits and nuts together.
  2. Combine sugar, butter, coffee and molasses in a 3-quart saucepan.
  3. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Cool. Blend in flour and fruit mixture.
  5. Chill at least 4 hours (overnight is fine).
  6. Shape into 1-inch balls with well floured hands.
  7. Place on greased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
  9. Dip warm cookies in warm glaze.
