Ziti And Cheese Bake

  1. Prepare ziti as directed; place in large bowl.
  2. In 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, into 3 tablespoons butter stir flour; cook 1 minute.
  3. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens slightly.
  4. Stir in Fontina, Port du Salut and pepper.
  5. Pour cheese mixture over ziti; with rubber spatula, gently stir to coat ziti well.
  6. Spoon 1/2 mixture into deep 2 1/2-quart casserole.
  7. Top with Mozzarella.
  8. Spoon on rest of ziti mixture. Melt 1 tablespoon butter and mix with bread crumbs.
  9. Sprinkle on top of casserole.
  10. Bake for 1 1/4 hours at 350u0b0 until top is golden.
