Amaretto-Chocolate Mousse* * * * *

  1. The first time I made a chocolate mousse it was from a recipe of Julia Child's that I had seen her do on television.
  2. It called for a raspberry sauce made with raspberry liquor.
  3. Our little town does not have a liquor store, so I drove 10 miles to the closest one.
  4. They didn't have it.
  5. I had to drive 25 miles to the next one before I found it.
  6. It cost $15.00.
  7. Then I didn't have a suitable mold.
  8. It cost $12.00.
  9. Fresh raspberries were needed, at $6.00 a pint.
  10. Finally I had everything I needed and proceeded to put the mousse together.
  11. I dirtied every saucepan and most of my bowls.
  12. If my time was worth anything, that mousse cost about $50.00.
  13. It was delicious!
