Tamale Pie(Serves 6)

  1. Crumble beef into skillet.
  2. Cook over moderate heat until meat loses red color.
  3. Add onion, celery and garlic during about the last 5 minutes cooking time.
  4. Drain off grease; drain tomatoes. Reserve 3/4 cup tomato sauce and mix with the cornmeal.
  5. Cut tomatoes in small pieces.
  6. Add cornmeal mixture.
  7. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
  8. Add corn and its liquid, olives and their liquid, chili powder, salt, Worcestershire sauce and meat mixture.
  9. Stir well.
  10. Spoon into 2-quart casserole.
  11. Sprinkle top with cheese.
  12. Bake, uncovered, in 375u0b0 preheated oven for 30 minutes.
