Baked Mostaccioli
- 1 lb. ground chuck, browned
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1 can mushrooms, drained
- 10 to 12 Italian sausage links
- 16 oz. Mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 (16 oz.) box mostaccioli
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- In large saucepan, blend together browned ground chuck, onion, spaghetti sauce, water and mushrooms.
- Simmer 1/2 hour.
- Simmer sausages in a little water in a separate covered pan until done. Slice into 1/2-inch pieces.
- Add to sauce and continue simmering sauce.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Put 1 cup of the sauce in 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Top with half of the pasta, two cups Mozzarella cheese and all the Parmesan cheese.
- Layer remaining sauce, pasta and cheese.
- Bake 30 minutes or until done. Makes 6 servings.
