Curried Beef And Rice
- 1 chopped onion, browned
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/4 c. rice (uncooked; not Minute rice)
- 2 cans or jars sliced mushrooms and juice
- 2 tsp. curry powder
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of garlic powder
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 4 bouillon cubes, dissolved in 4 c. boiling water
- Brown chopped onion in oleo.
- Add ground chuck, salt and pepper to taste.
- Continue cooking until ground beef is browned. Drain all liquids.
- Add rice, mushrooms and juice, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, sour cream and bouillon cube dissolved in water.
- Bake covered for 1 hour at 350u0b0, or longer, if rice is not tender.
- Add a little bouillon when re-warming.
