Sausage Casserole(Serves 6)

  1. In a large saucepan, cook onion in 1/2 stick margarine until tender.
  2. Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
  3. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.
  4. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened.
  5. Line a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish with sausage.
  6. Add 1/2 the potatoes, 1/2 the peas and 1/2 the sauce. Repeat layers.
  7. Combine 1/2 stick melted butter and bread crumbs. Sprinkle over top of casserole.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes or until crumbs are lightly browned.
