Coffee Kuchen

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0 and lightly grease and flour a 9-inch tube pan.
  2. Into a large bowl, sift flour with baking powder, salt, cinnamon, sugars and coffee.
  3. Using pastry blender or 2 knives, cut butter and shortening into flour mixture until it resembles small peas.
  4. Set aside 1 cup for topping.
  5. Combine milk with baking soda and eggs; mix well.
  6. With wooden spoon, stir all at once into flour-fat mixture.
  7. Bake 55 to 60 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from pan and serve warm.
