Toting Casserole
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. cottage cheese (small curd)
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped onion, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. green pepper, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. ripe olives, chopped
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Butter a 3-quart baking dish; cook and drain noodles.
- Melt butter, saute meat, stir in tomato sauce and flour; simmer 10 minutes.
- Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, salt, onion, green pepper and olives.
- Put half the noodles in baking dish.
- Spread on all the cottage cheese mixture.
- Top with remaining noodles and cover with ground meat mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes; let stand about 10 minutes before serving.
- Serves 10.
