Absolutely Zippy Chicken
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red or black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 - 5 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom or cream of celery mushroom Soup (optional)
- Combine salt, pepper and paprika; rub over chicken pieces. Place chicken in a single layer in an un-greased baking dish. Combine Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice; drizzle over chicken. Cut the margarine into small pats and place two pats on each piece of chicken.
- Cover dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake in a 500-degree oven 15 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake 1 hour longer.
- If crisp chicken is desired, do not add soup.
- If you use the soup, combine soup with 1/2 soup can of water.
- Fifteen minutes before the end of baking time, pour some mixture over chicken, and continue baking for the remaining 15 minutes.
- Yield: 4 - 5 Servings.
