Shrimp Creole
- 2 lb. shrimp
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 large green pepper
- 1/2 c. parsley
- 1/2 c. cooking wine
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. Accent
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can red peppers
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- Clean and wash shrimp; fry in hot oil.
- When they turn pink, add minced onion, pounded garlic and ground pepper; allow to cook slightly.
- Add chopped parsley, ground red pepper with its liquid, tomato sauce, ketchup, bay leaf, wine, salt, Accent, ground pepper, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.
- Allow to cook for 25 to 30 minutes on medium heat.
- Serves six.
