Hot Fudge Sundae Dessert

  1. Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil and watch carefully.
  2. Let simmer a few minutes.
  3. Add vanilla, then cool.
  4. Crush 1 box chocolate wafers or at least 24 wafers.
  5. Add softened or melted butter.
  6. Press into 9 x 13-inch pan.
  7. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  8. Put softened ice cream on top; freeze another 30 minutes.
  9. Put cooled sauce on top.
  10. Freeze another 30 minutes.
  11. Put Cool Whip on top; sprinkle pecans or reserved cookie crumbs for top.
  12. Freeze 24 hours.
