Hot Fudge Sundae Dessert
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 stick or 1/2 c. butter
- 1 (16 oz.) can Hershey's chocolate syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 box chocolate wafers
- 1/4 c. softened or melted butter
- 1/2 gal. softened ice cream
- 1 carton Cool Whip
- 1/2 pkg. pecans (optional)
- Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil and watch carefully.
- Let simmer a few minutes.
- Add vanilla, then cool.
- Crush 1 box chocolate wafers or at least 24 wafers.
- Add softened or melted butter.
- Press into 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Freeze for 30 minutes.
- Put softened ice cream on top; freeze another 30 minutes.
- Put cooled sauce on top.
- Freeze another 30 minutes.
- Put Cool Whip on top; sprinkle pecans or reserved cookie crumbs for top.
- Freeze 24 hours.
