Danish Puffs

  1. Cut 1/2 cup oleo into 1 cup of flour until it resembles coarse meal.
  2. Add cold water and stir until well blended.
  3. Divide dough in half.
  4. Press each half into a 12 x 3-inch oblong on an ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Place boiling water and remaining 1/2 cup of oleo into saucepan.
  6. Bring to a boil.
  7. Add almond extract and remove from heat.
  8. Stir in remaining 1 cup of flour.
  9. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  10. Spread this mixture over the oblongs.
  11. Bake in hot oven at 425u0b0 for about 50 minutes.
