Pineapple Pork Sweet And Sour
- 3/4 lb. lean pork, cut into 1/2-inch squares
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 tsp. Accent
- 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. pineapple syrup
- 1 c. pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into 1/2-inch squares
- 1/4 c. onion, cubed in 1/2-inch squares
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. catsup
- 6 Tbsp. vinegar
- Dip pork in beaten egg.
- Combine flour, Accent and salt in bag.
- Add pork and shake.
- In large skillet, heat enough oil to fry the pork.
- Fry pork for 6 to 8 minutes or until well browned. Remove and drain.
- In skillet, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, sugar, pineapple syrup, catsup and vinegar and bring to boil.
- Mix cornstarch (4 teaspoons) with 4 teaspoons cold water.
- Stir into sauce, cooking until it thickens.
- Add pork, pineapple, onions and bell pepper.
- Cook, stirring rapidly, for about 4 minutes.
- Serve with hot rice.
