Mamaw'S Cinnamon Rolls
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. milk
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- 3 eggs
- 4 c. flour
- butter
- cinnamon
- chopped nuts
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water; set aside.
- Scald milk, then add Crisco, sugar and salt; mix well.
- Cool until lukewarm, then add 2 cups flour and eggs (well beaten).
- Then add yeast and mix well.
- Add 4 cups flour, mix well.
- Knead lightly until smooth on board.
- Place dough in a large covered pan and let rise until doubled.
- Divide dough into 2 parts and knead lightly. Roll out thin and spread melted butter.
- Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and chopped nuts.
- Roll dough.
- Slice.
- Place cut side down on greased pan to rise.
- Bake at 375u0b0 until brown, then ice.
