Pineapple Jello Salad

  1. Dissolve Jell-O in the boiling water.
  2. Cool.
  3. Drain pineapple (save juice).
  4. Spread pineapple in bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. Layer with marshmallows, then layer of sliced bananas.
  5. Pour cooled Jell-O over and refrigerate until firm.
  6. Mix 1 cup pineapple juice, lemon juice, egg, cornstarch and butter.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Cook until thick.
  9. Let cool.
  10. Mix Dream Whip as directed on package.
  11. Add to cooled custard.
  12. Spread on Jell-O.
  13. Top with chopped nuts.
