Spaghetti
- 1 pkg. Hillshire sweet Italian sausage
- 1 1/2 lb. ground meat
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 3/4 gal. can Sam's diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground pepper
- 1/8 c. Anisette liquor
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 large green pepper, diced
- 1 c. grated carrot
- 1 c. grated zucchini (optional)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. sweet basil
- Brown sausage, set aside and cut into thirds.
- Brown ground meat, onion and green pepper; drain.
- Mix all ingredients and cook over low heat for 2 to 3 hours.
- Drain other fat from top of sauce as it cooks.
