Garlicky Beef With Peppers

  1. Cut beef in 2-inch strips with the grain.
  2. Cut strips diagonally across grain into 1/4-inch slices.
  3. For ease in cutting, freeze 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Heat margarine in 10-inch skillet until melted.
  5. Add onion, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper.
  6. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until onion is tender.
  7. Stir in beef and bell peppers.
  8. Cook and stir about 4 minutes or until beef is no longer pink.
  9. Stir in wine.
  10. Reduce heat.
  11. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  12. Stir cornstarch into beef broth.
  13. Stir into beef mixture.
  14. Cook and stir until thickened.
  15. Serve over noodles.
