Frozen Fruit Salad
- 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange sections
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. Jell-O brand gelatin (lime flavor)
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. (1/2 pt.) sour cream
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1/4 c. chopped nuts
- Drain
- orange
- sections,
- reserving syrup. Add water to syrup to
- make
- 1/2
- cup.
- Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add measured liquid and chill until slightly thickened.
- Blend sour cream
- and
- mayonnaise
- into gelatin;
- chill again until thickened.
- Fold
- in
- orange
- sections, marshmallows and nuts. Spoon into 8-inch square pan or 8 x 4-inch loaf pan and freeze until firm.
- Unmold and
- garnish
- wtih
- crisp salad greens and additional fruit, if desired.
- Makes 5 cups or 10 servings.
