Classic Lasagne
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 pkg. Mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 pkg. lasagne
- In large pan lightly brown beef and onions.
- Add tomato paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic powder, pepper and oregano. Simmer, uncovered, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook lasagne as directed.
- Drain.
- In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan, spread about 1 cup sauce, then alternate layers of lasagne, sauce and cheese, ending with sauce and cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbling.
- Allow to stand for 15 minutes.
- Cut in squares.
- Makes 8 servings.
