Scripture Cake

  1. Sprinkle raisins, figs and almonds with small amount of flour. Cream the butter; blend in molasses. Sift baking powder, flour and salt together twice.
  2. Beat eggs. Add milk and honey.
  3. Stir well. Add milk
  4. mixture and flour mixture alternately to creamed butter; mix well. Stir in spices, raisins, figs and almonds.
  5. Pour into cake pan. Bake for 1 hour at 325u0b0 to 350u0b0.
  6. Serves 15 to 18.
