Pumpkin Squares

  1. Grease bottom only of a 13 x 9-inch pan. Reserve 1 cup cake mix for topping. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Pour into pan.
  2. Combine pie mix, 2 eggs and milk.
  3. (Tip:
  4. When using 1 pound can solid packed pumpkin, add 2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice and 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar.)
  5. Place filling over base.
  6. Combine reserved cake mix and 1/4 cup sugar. Sprinkle topping over filling.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 to 50 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and cut into squares.
  8. Serve with whipped topping.
