Ultimate Double Chocolate Brownies

  1. In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda.
  2. Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
  3. Add boiling water; stir just until well blended.
  4. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining butter.
  5. Add flour, vanilla and salt.
  6. Stir in the pecans and chocolate chunks.
  7. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Yields 3 dozen.
