Seven Layer Salad
- 1 head lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 4 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium red onion, sliced into rings
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and sliced
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed and drained
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, crisp fried and crumbled
- Layer the lettuce, green pepper, celery, mushrooms, onion, hard-boiled eggs and peas in glass serving dish.
- Combine the mayonnaise, sugar, salt and garlic powder in bowl; mix well. Spread over peas.
- Sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
- Chill, covered, for 4 hours to overnight.
