Maravian Ginger Cookies

  1. Into 2-quart saucepan measure butter or margarine, brown sugar and molasses.
  2. Cook over medium heat until brown sugar dissolves and butter melts.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in flour and remaining ingredients except sugar, until blended.
  5. Spoon dough onto waxed paper.
  6. Cover and refrigerate until firm enough to roll (about 2 hours).
  7. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  8. Grease large cookie sheet.
  9. On floured surface, roll 1/2 of dough into 10 x 10-inches.
  10. Cut dough into 2 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch square.
  11. Prick.
  12. Sprinkle with sugar and bake.
  13. Repeat.
