Pork Chop Barbecue
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. ground mustard
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 slice lemon
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 to 2 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)
- 6 (1/2-inch) pork chops
- Mix water, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt and peppers.
- Add lemon and onion.
- Simmer 20 minutes.
- Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke.
- Bring to a boil.
- Place pork chops in a dish and pour sauce over them.
- Bake uncovered in a 350u0b0 oven 1 hour and 25 minutes, turning chops over once or until chops are done.
- I usually make a double batch of sauce, because I find that one is not enough.
