Hamburger Casserole
- 3/4 lb. hamburger
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 c. cooked macaroni
- 1 (11 1/2 oz.) can golden mushroom soup
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
- Cook onion and green pepper in shortening until onion is transparent.
- Add hamburger, salt and pepper.
- Cook until meat is lightly browned.
- Remove from heat and drain.
- Arrange layers of meat mixture and macaroni in a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Mix mushroom soup with water.
- Add Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour mixture over meat and macaroni.
- Top with grated cheese.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
