Fisherman'S Stew
- 1 lb. flounder, haddock or sole fillets
- 3/4 c. celery, chopped medium
- 1/4 c. sliced onion
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 stick margarine or butter
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 lb. spaghetti, broken in thirds
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- Rinse fish and set aside.
- In a heavy pan, melt butter and cook celery, onion and garlic until tender.
- Add sauce and rest of seasonings.
- Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
- Add water and uncooked spaghetti.
- Mix, cover and cook until spaghetti is firm and tender (al dente).
- Add fish.
- Cover and simmer until fish flakes.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
