Tirami Su
- 1 lb. Mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 lb. sugar
- 5 egg whites (Egg Beaters are okay)
- 2 Tbsp. Marsala
- 1 pkg. ladyfingers (Italian)
- 1/2 c. Espresso or regular coffee, sweetened
- chocolate powder
- Beat egg whites until fluffy.
- Blend in sugar and salt.
- Place Mascarpone in bowl; stir until smooth.
- Blend into egg mixture. Add Marsala; beat until fluffy.
- Place enough ladyfingers to cover bottom of dish.
- Brush with sweetened Espresso (do not soak cookies).
- Place 1/2 of cheese mixture over ladyfingers.
- Dust with chocolate powder.
- Repeat process, placing another layer of ladyfingers on top of first layer.
- Brush with Espresso.
- Put in remaining cheese mixture; dust with chocolate powder.
- Chill before serving.
