Oven Barbecued Spareribs
- 4 lb. pork spareribs
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/3 c. chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash of bottled hot pepper sauce
- 3 thin lemon slices
- Cut ribs in serving size pieces.
- In
- large saucepan, cover ribs with salted water.
- Cover and simmer until nearly tender (about one hour).
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt butter; add garlic and cook 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil.
- Drain ribs and place in shallow baking pan.
- Pour boiling sauce over ribs.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes, basting often with sauce.
- Serves 4.
