Horseradish Meatballs
- Meatball Mixture
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- Sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- In a large bowl combine the meatball mixture, mix well.
- Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls.
- Place in a greased 15 x 10 baking pan, bake uncovered at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until no longer pink.
- Meanwhile in a large saucepan combine sauce ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, stirring often.
- Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Add meatballs, stir gently to coat.
