Taco Sandwiches
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 (15 oz.) can black or red beans, drained
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 (10 oz.) can refrigerated flaky biscuits
- 5 Tbsp. salsa
- 5 Tbsp. dairy sour cream
- lettuce, shredded
- Heat oven to 400u0b0.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium-high heat; drain.
- Stir in beans, tomato sauce and spices.
- Simmer 1 to 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Place 5 biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet; press each biscuit into 5-inch circle.
- Spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture onto center of each flattened biscuit.
- Press or roll remaining biscuits into 5-inch circles.
- Place over meat mixture.
- Press with a fork to seal.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 13 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Top with salsa and sour cream.
- Garnish with lettuce.
