Peanut Blossoms Cookies
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. (10 oz. pkg.) Hershey's mini kisses
- additional granulated sugar
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Beat shortening and peanut butter until well blended.
- Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to peanut mixture, beating until well blended.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in granulated sugar.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Place 3 mini kisses on each cookie, pressing down lightly.
- Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
