Crock-Pot Turkey Chili
- 1 to 3 lb. ground turkey
- 1/4 c. canola or olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 large garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 to 3 c. beef bouillon
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 green chili, diced
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa (less to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- In a large skillet, cook turkey, onion and garlic in oil until meat loses pink color.
- Add dry spices; heat well.
- Pour into crock-pot.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Cook on high 30 minutes; turn to low and cook (many) hours.
