Hamburger-Macaroni Casserole
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1/2 chopped bell pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 small can water
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- grated cheese
- 1 box Kraft macaroni and cheese, prepared by box directions
- Cook beef in heated oil until brown, adding onions and peppers as beef starts to brown, stirring frequently to crumble beef. Drain off oil and fat; add salt, pepper and chili powder.
- Stir into beef.
- Add tomato sauce and water.
- Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Pour macaroni into casserole dish and add hamburger mixture; stir.
- Top with grated cheese.
- Bake in oven at 425u0b0 until cheese is melted.
