Spice Raisin Crisp
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 1/2 c. Raisin Bran cereal
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease baking sheet.
- Cream shortening with sugars.
- Mix in eggs, vanilla and milk.
- Beat well.
- Stir together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and cloves.
- Add to creamed mixture.
- Blend thoroughly.
- Fold in Raisin Bran; drop by level tablespoon onto baking sheet.
- Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
- Let stand 1 minute (only) before removing from baking sheet.
- Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
