Puerto Rican Arroz Con Gandules(Rice With Pigeon Peas)

  1. In a large saucepan or rice pot, heat oil.
  2. When oil is hot, saute onions, then add peppers, reco leaves and chorizo. Saute until chorizo is brown.
  3. Add olives, garlic, sofrito, sazon and tomato sauce.
  4. Add rinsed rice and water. Add black pepper, oregano and adobo.
