Tuna Sauce With Pasta

  1. Combine garlic, parsley and basil.
  2. Set aside 1/2 of the mixture.
  3. In a medium saucepan, saute other 1/2 of the mixture in oil (do not brown).
  4. Add red pepper and salt.
  5. Cook 1 minute.
  6. Add tuna and tomato paste.
  7. Stir with wooden spoon 1 minute more.
  8. Add wine and stir over high heat until paste is dissolved.
  9. Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes more.
  10. Adjust seasonings to taste. Remove from heat and add remaining herb mixture.
  11. Pour over hot cooked pasta.
  12. Serves 4 as a main dish.
