Orange-Chocolate Cake
- 1 (2 layer size) pkg. devil's food cake mix
- 1 (8 oz.) carton low-fat or nonfat plain yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. finely shredded orange peel
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 1 egg
- 2 egg whites
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 recipe Chocolate Icing
- 1 recipe Orange Icing
- Spray a 10-inch tube pan or 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with nonstick coating; dust with unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Set aside. In large bowl, combine cake mix, yogurt, orange peel, orange juice, egg, egg whites, cooking oil, cinnamon and 1/2 cup water. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 4 minutes.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 40 to 50 minutes for tube pan and 35 to 40 minutes for sheet pan or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes.
- Remove cake from tube pan, if using; cool completely.
- Drizzle icings over cake.
- Makes 12 servings.
