Lasagna

  1. Remove sausage from outer casing; chop meat.
  2. Saute sausage, beef, onion and garlic until brown.
  3. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon salt, basil leaves, fennel seed, pepper and half of parsley; mix well. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and 1/2 cup of water.
  4. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer until thick, 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Cook lasagna. Drain.
