Pineapple Astoria

  1. Drain pineapple;
  2. reserve
  3. juice.
  4. Line
  5. a
  6. 9 x 13-inch dish with pineapple.
  7. Top pineapple generously with marshmallows. Dissolve
  8. gelatin in boiling water and pour over marshmallows. When cool, refrigerate; add water to pineapple juice to make 1 cup.
  9. Mix
  10. cornstarch
  11. with a little of the liquid. Beat egg well.
  12. Mixtll
  13. together
  14. and
  15. add salt and butter. Cook
  16. this mixture, stirring constantly until thickened, then cool thoroughly.
  17. Whiptream
  18. and
  19. blend
  20. 2
  21. mixtures.
  22. Top gelatin mixture
  23. with
  24. it.top
  25. this with coconut, nuts and a fewtut uptaraschino
  26. cherries.
  27. Refrigerate until serving time.terves 15.
