Baked Chicken Breasts
- 6 chicken breasts
- 1 carton sour cream
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp. celery salt
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 3/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- Cut chicken breasts in half and wipe well with paper towel. In large bowl, combine sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic, salts and pepper.
- Add chicken to sour cream mixture, coating each piece well.
- Let stand, covered, in refrigerator overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Remove chicken from sour cream mixture and roll in crumbs.
- Arrange in large, shallow baking dish.
- Melt butter and shortening in a small saucepan and spoon half over chicken.
- Bake chicken, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
- Spoon rest of butter mixture over chicken and bake for 10 to 15 minutes longer.
- Serves 12.
