Spaghetti Pie
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. green pepper
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 6 oz. long spaghetti
- 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c. onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained)
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- Brown beef, onion and green pepper.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt; simmer.
- Cook spaghetti; drain and add butter, Parmesan cheese and eggs.
- Form spaghetti mixture in a well-greased 10-inch pie pan to resemble crust. Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti.
- Fill pie with tomato meat mixture.
- Bake, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes in a 350u0b0 oven. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes more or longer.
- Let stand before cutting to hold shape better.
