Strawberry Pie

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan.
  2. Cook until thick and transparent, stirring constantly; cool.
  3. Spread pie shell with softened cream cheese.
  4. Stand whole strawberries in cream cheese to completely cover pie shell.
  5. Spread cooled sauce over strawberries. Cover with whipped cream to which almond extract and powdered sugar have been added.
  6. Chill.
  7. Yield:
  8. 6 servings.
