Shrimp Chinese(Casserole)

  1. Combine celery, onion and water in saucepan.
  2. Simmer, covered, until onion is soft; drain.
  3. Brown mushrooms lightly in butter. Combine celery-onion mixture, mushrooms, green pepper, cashews, pimentos, water chestnuts and shrimp.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Combine with white sauce and season to taste.
  6. Layer bottom of greased 6-quart baking dish with 1 can of the noodles.
  7. Cover with shrimp mixture. Top with remaining noodles.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
  9. Serves 10.
