Pepper Steak

  1. Cut meat into strips, 2 x 1 x 1/4-inches.
  2. Heat oil in large skillet.
  3. Add meat, cook, turning frequently, until brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in water, onion, garlic salt and ginger.
  5. Heat to boiling; reduce heat, cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Add green pepper strips last 5 minutes.
  7. While simmering, cook instant rice for 4 to 6 servings.
  8. Blend cornstarch, sugar and soy sauce. Stir into meat mixture.
  9. Cook, stirring frequently, until thickens and boils.
  10. Boil and stir 1 minute.
  11. Serve with rice.
