Sausage And Corn Bread
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 chopped green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
- 4 oz. Cheddar cheese or American, 1/2-inch cubes
- 1/2 c. sliced ripe olives (optional)
- 2 pkg. corn muffin mix
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- Heat oven to 400u0b0.
- Cook sausage, onion and pepper until brown.
- Drain sausage mix.
- Add flour, tomato soup, salt and chili powder.
- Add cheese and olives.
- Put into 9-inch square pan.
- Mix muffin mix as directed (on box).
- Pour muffin mix over sausage mixture.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
- Let stand 5 minutes and turn out.
- Loosen edges.
- Cornbread on bottom when turned out.
