Chicken Casserole
- 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen or canned French-style green beans
- 2/3 c. water
- 1/3 c. butter
- 4 oz. can French fried onions
- 1 1/2 c. cooked chicken, cubed
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 1/2 c. seasoned bread stuffing
- 4 eggs, separated
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cook green beans and drain.
- Place green beans and chicken in a 2-quart baking dish.
- Combine soup and 1/3 cup water; pour over beans and chicken.
- Combine stuffing, butter and remaining water; toss lightly.
- Place over ingredients in baking dish.
- Beat egg whites until stiff enough to form soft peaks.
- Fold egg whites into yolks and spoon over casserole.
- Bake in oven at 350u0b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Top with French fried onions.
- Bake 5 minutes longer.
- Serve immediately.
- Makes 8 servings.
